Harrods

The Brief

Toy Gerbil, Toy Gerbil… Oh where for art thou Toy Gerbil?

The Loony Letter

Dear Sirs,

I am hoping you can help me.

Last Saturday, I visited your store in order to purchase some shoes. However, in the course of my visit, I appear to have lost a small toy gerbil somewhere in the store. It is light ginger, about 6 inches long, and has a wind-up cord at the back, as it vibrates when the cord is pulled.

Could you please inform me if you have found it?

Many thanks,

Bill Bennett

Dear Mr Bennett

Thank you for your letter dated 4 July concerning the loss of your small toy gerbil during your recent visit to our store recently.

Unfortunately, we have no record of this item being handed in to the Lost Property Department. However, please be assured that we have your details and should the item come to light, we will contact you.

I am sorry that I cannot be of more help.

The Review

Very nice of Harrods to look for our toy gerbil – but what if we lost him in the toy department? He could be gone forever! We’re bawling our eyes out as we speak…

  1. I’m not surprised, I wrote to Harrods requesting a refund after discovering maggots in the wrap I purchased from the deli and got a similar response – guess I should have gone back to the store and let everyone know about it at the time.
